After taking a few weeks off, I’m back! The month of April flew by, maybe because I was on a plane every week, but I’m one of those crazy people that live for hectic weeks. From non-stop work meetings to personal travel, it was nice to shift my focus and take a break from the blog. As I prep for one of my last trips before my Doctor revokes my travel privileges, I am taking advantage of my last bit of solo flying before the twins arrive.
If you follow along on Instagram you may have seen images from my recent trips. I snagged an amazing deal to go to London and Paris with my mama (we called it a Mamamoon), and then went to Maui with Justin for our Babymoon. Originally, my Europe trip was supposed to take place earlier in March, and our Hawaii trip was slated for mid-May, but due to work and Doctor’s orders it all got switched, and the trips ended up being back to back.
I can’t wait to share details from both adventures, our maternity photos, my summer travel wish-list, and the holy grail of items to bring on a long flight if you’re pregnant (or if you’re sensitive to flying and swell easily). Lots of content is in the works, but in the meantime, I wanted to share one of my favorite go-to looks — all black with a pop of color. I have a serious collection of black dresses, and like most, until they create a color darker than black it will always be my favorite as it makes me feel powerful and confident. When there are days where my new body shape gets the best of me, it’s nice to fall into a look that reminds me of my pre-pregnancy days.
In this post I’m wearing an Ingrid & Isabel dress, and you can shop this look and other non-maternity options below.
Special thanks to Seattle based photographer, Jenna Lynn Photography, for the lovely images.
